Dear Team—
I understand you all just wrapped up your gathering - I hope you’re as enthusiastic as I am with the good news. Last time I shared you all a update, I expressed the following: “I am confident in this group. You all are some of the most motivated and innovative designers we have had the opportunity to collaborate with - and we’re eager for that partnership to persist.”
Through your commitment and adaptability, especially over the past twelve months, you continue to prove that.
The community feedback from last autumn’s the game playtest was informative. It validated the potential of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had refinements needed. It revealed the need for a sharper brand.
The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve progressed. You accepted the criticism to mind and revamped the title with a revitalized vision - one that’s poised to achieve its promise to our fans.
Our confidence in Project ETHOS grows every day. To advance the remarkable progress you’ve made, I’m excited to introduce the new hire as the new Director of the team. After a period of talks, he comes aboard us on Monday, October 20.
His leadership and background in the PVP shooter space is vast, having spent the past decade and a half producing and overseeing some of the most recognizable series in gaming, for example Call of Duty: Black Ops, and more recently, the battle royale hit.
Let’s together in greeting him next week. We are all looking forward to continue witnessing the evolution of the game in the months to come.
David
